CNC Lathe Setup Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to join our growing manufacturing operation. Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets to ensure accurate production
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Verify dimensional accuracy and quality requirements throughout the machining process
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic preventative upkeep
• Operate mills and other shop equipment as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC lathe setup and operating experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Doosan and Puma CNC lathes
• CNC mill setup and operation experience
• Fabrication or mechanical assembly experience
• Experience working in high-mix, low-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of tooling selection, machine offsets, and process optimization

This is a Permanent position based out of Fridley, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
