Job Title: Finishing Operator

1 st Shift Hours : 8:00AM to 4:30PM schedule

2 nd Shift Hours : 3:00PM to 11:00PM schedule

Pay : $18.00 - $21.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate label inspecting machines and related finishing equipment to slit printed material into strips of specific widths.
• Receive job assignments from the Finishing Supervisor or Team Lead and review job specifications to determine correct cores and rewind methods.
• Review job jackets thoroughly to confirm that all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are correctly addressed before starting work.
• Inspect products during and after processing to ensure quality integrity, including visual checks for defects and compliance with customer requirements.
• Observe the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting, winding, or other issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Verify the quality of finished work, including color accuracy, size, die cuts, perforations, print quality, and quantity of packaged items being shipped.
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs to support overall production workflow.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines to keep equipment running efficiently and minimize downtime.
• Remove and replace blades and other wear parts on inspection machines safely and accurately.
• Complete all required paperwork for each job, including production records and quality documentation, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Package products securely and accurately according to shipping and customer specifications.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Peabody, MA.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
