Senior IT Recruiter – US IT Staffing

Location : Park Ridge, IL (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Job Type : Full-Time

Compensation : $60,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Benefits

Experience : 3–5 Years

About the Role

Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) is looking for an experienced Senior IT Recruiter with a strong background in US IT staffing. We need someone who understands the US recruitment market, can manage the full recruitment lifecycle, and consistently delivers qualified candidates for client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for US IT staffing requirements, from sourcing and screening to interview coordination, offer negotiation, and placement.
• Source qualified candidates for technical positions using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, Boolean searches, and other sourcing channels.
• Recruit for roles across software development, cloud, data, DevOps, QA, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other IT skill sets.
• Screen candidates for technical fit, communication skills, availability, compensation expectations, work authorization, and client requirements.
• Work closely with account managers and sales teams to understand client needs and prioritize open requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the interview and onboarding process.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future requirements.
• Track submissions, interviews, offers, placements, and other recruiting metrics.
• Support candidate follow-ups, offer closures, and joining coordination to improve placement and retention rates.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity in the ATS.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in US IT staffing and technical recruitment.
• Strong understanding of US hiring practices, technical job markets, and common IT skill sets.
• Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, job boards, and referrals.
• Familiarity with W2, C2C, and contract-to-hire hiring models.
• Strong candidate engagement, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements and work effectively against deadlines.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• A results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality submissions, placements, and candidate experience.
